Genshin Impact

Version 7.0 "Everwinter Without Mercy" launched on August 12, 2026. The update opens Snezhnaya as the newest major nation to explore, adds Odette and Alyosha to the playable roster, introduces the Stellar Swirl elemental reaction, and adds the Eye of Graeae for exploration and Prime Ice interactions. The update also begins the Snezhnaya Archon Quest chapter and expands Miliastra Wonderland with additional Manekin cosmetics and a new Lobby.

Genshin Impact combines open-world exploration with real-time party combat built around seven elements. Players form parties of up to four characters and switch between them during battle, combining Anemo, Geo, Electro, Dendro, Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo attacks to trigger elemental reactions. Exploration includes climbing, gliding, swimming, puzzles, quests, Domains, bosses, resource gathering, and regional progression.

Long-term activities include Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater, Stygian Onslaught, Genius Invokation TCG, and the Serenitea Pot. Character and weapon acquisition uses the Wish system, while Adventure Rank, World Level, Talents, Artifacts, weapons, and character Constellations provide continuing progression.

Version 7.0 expands the permanent gameplay range with Snezhnaya systems such as the Eye of Graeae, Prime Ice Constructs, and a third-person shooter gameplay format. Stellar Swirl joins the game's elemental reaction systems as players explore the new nation.

Miliastra Wonderland adds a separate space for social play and user-created experiences. Players can customize Manekins, join Wonderlands made by other players, and create their own experiences, while the PC-only Miliastra Sandbox provides the editing tools used to build those worlds.

The main story follows the Traveler and Paimon across Teyvat in search of the Traveler's missing sibling while uncovering the histories of the Archons, Fatui, Abyss Order, Celestia, and Khaenri'ah.
