Latest update
The current version is Ver. 1.0.5, released on August 7, 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. This update adjusts difficulty for Story through Hard modes, rebalances SP and several Sword Skills, adds a toggle for severing kill animations, and fixes issues including a rare black-screen progression blocker. A new difficulty higher than Very Hard is planned for later in 2026.

Players create and fully customize an original avatar trapped in the death-game version of the full-dive MMORPG Sword Art Online.
