Having escaped the dystopian city of Midgar, Cloud and his comrades, including Tifa Lockhart, Barret Wallace, Aerith Gainsborough, and Red XIII, venture across the planet in pursuit of Sephiroth. New synergy skills and synergy abilities allow party members to combine attacks for devastating results. Players can explore expansive environments on foot or by riding Chocobos, engage in side activities like the Queen's Blood card game, and visit iconic locations such as Cosmo Canyon, Nibelheim, Junon, Costa del Sol, Gongaga, and the Forgotten Capital. The narrative culminates in the party's journey to the Forgotten Capital from the original FINAL FANTASY VII.
