Gameplay overview
Squads select Legends with distinct tactical, passive and ultimate abilities, then loot weapons, armor and attachments while the Ring closes around the battlefield. The 60-player battle royale supports Trios, Duos and Ranked, while Wildcard, Mixtape and Bot Royale provide faster or more structured alternatives.
Story, setting, or main mode
Apex Legends has no traditional story campaign; its main competition is the Apex Games, a televised blood sport set across the Outlands in the Titanfall universe. Seasonal cinematics, quests and character interactions expand each Legend's story around the persistent multiplayer modes.
