How to Set Up Apex Legends Cross-Progression

Apex Legends automatically uses cross-progression across supported platforms when each platform account is connected to the same EA Account. Check the existing EA Account links before changing anything, because Apex progression is permanently tied to the EA Account that owns it.

Find the EA Account that owns your Apex Legends progression first
Apex Legends does not use a separate cross-progression switch. EA enables the feature automatically when your supported platform accounts are connected to the same EA Account. Your Apex progression is permanently tied to that EA Account, so identify the correct account before unlinking or replacing any platform connection.
Sign in to the EA Account Portal and open Connected Accounts. Check the PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and other platform links that apply to you. Nintendo Accounts do not always appear in the same Connected Accounts view, so verify that connection through the platform login flow when necessary.
Link each platform to the EA Account that owns your Apex profile
- Sign in to your main EA Account. Use the account that already owns the Apex Legends progression you want to keep.
- Open
Connected Accounts. Review the platform accounts already attached to the EA Account. - Link the platform account you want to use. EA Help can direct you through the account connection, or the game can request the EA Account login when you launch it on a console.
- Complete the email verification if prompted. Enter the one-time code sent to the email address associated with the EA Account.
- Launch Apex Legends on the linked platform. Cross-progression should use the Apex profile tied to that EA Account automatically.
- Check your account level and content. Confirm the expected progression before making any additional account changes.
Your Apex profile stays with the EA Account, not the platform login
Once the platform is linked correctly, Apex Legends can expose the same shared profile on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2. EA states that the Apex profile is permanently tied to its EA Account and cannot be moved to another EA Account.
Some platform-exclusive content and Coins can remain platform-specific. A missing platform-exclusive item by itself does not necessarily mean cross-progression failed.
Unlinking does not transfer progression to another EA Account
- You can have only one Apex Legends profile per EA Account.
- Progress from two different EA Accounts cannot be merged into one Apex profile.
- Unlinking a platform account removes access to the progress and content stored on the EA Account from that platform.
- Relinking the platform to the original EA Account restores access to that account's progress.
- Linking the platform to a different EA Account does not move the original Apex progression.
If your Apex progress disappears on another platform
Return to the EA Account Portal and confirm that the affected platform account is connected to the same EA Account that owns your normal Apex profile. If it was unlinked, reconnect it to the original EA Account rather than a new one. If the account links are correct but only certain items or Coins are missing, check whether that content is platform-exclusive before treating it as a cross-progression failure.
