Punishing: Gray Raven Anchored in Faith Reveals Adelyde

Punishing: Gray Raven has outlined its next major content cycle through the Anchored in Faith Preview Livestream. The new version launches on September 24, 2026, followed by the Date A Live V collaboration on September 29.

The update combines a new Main Story chapter, the debut of Adelyde: Anabasis, a new frame class, new gameplay activities and additional reward systems. The collaboration then expands the version several days later with Kurumi Tokisaki and separate crossover content.

Adelyde: Anabasis is the major new Omniframe revealed for Anchored in Faith. She is an S-Rank Dark-element frame, uses a Cross Cannon and carries the Ultima Slash effect.

Her release also introduces the new Overlinker frame type. Rather than focusing only on the individual character, Overlinkers are designed around increasing the combat strength of the full team.

When an Overlinker is in the team, characters that switch into combat can receive a buff. When the required conditions are satisfied, triggering Matrix can also place all team members into a special state that grants additional buffs.

Full values and detailed conditions are handled through the in-game version implementation, but the class is clearly built around team switching and squad-wide bonuses.

Adelyde is not restricted to a standard character research route at launch. After Anchored in Faith goes live, Commandants can obtain Adelyde: Anabasis x1 for free for a limited time through Journal of Promise.

The version also provides a substantial set of Adelyde-related rewards through the Service Shop.

This gives players a path to obtain the base S-Rank frame, a large amount of character shards, her 6-star weapon and her dedicated CUB during the same version cycle.

Note: The free Adelyde acquisition through Journal of Promise is described as limited-time. The preview did not publish the final deadline for claiming her.

The new version also pushes Punishing: Gray Raven's main narrative forward. With the undersea cables repaired and global communications restored, humanity can redirect its attention toward the Atlantic Eye crisis while another negotiation unfolds elsewhere.

The Anchored in Faith PV frames the new chapter around conflicting interests, identities and positions as separate groups move toward another confrontation. The version title connects this story progression with Adelyde and the continuing F.O.S.-related storyline introduced before launch.

The main version begins September 24, while the Date A Live V material is positioned as a separate crossover rollout beginning five days later.

The preview recap also confirms multiple gameplay activities rather than limiting Anchored in Faith to a character and story release. The announced lineup includes Circuit Calculus, Wreck-It Huhu and Overclock Simulation.

These activities sit alongside the permanent story progression and character development systems, giving Anchored in Faith both combat and lighter side content.

Punishing: Gray Raven x Date A Live V officially begins on September 29, 2026. The crossover is led by S-Rank collaboration character Kurumi Tokisaki.

Kurumi is a collaboration-limited character and can only be obtained through the Collab Character R&D Event. The official announcement also adds an unusual duplicate mechanic: the first two times a player obtains Kurumi from the research interface, they can claim an additional copy.

The crossover includes dedicated content beyond the character research event. Dream of Stagnant Cycle is the collaboration story, bringing the Date A Live V crossover directly into Punishing: Gray Raven's event structure.

A separate sign-in event, Visitor from Afar, provides collaboration research resources. The preview lineup includes Collab Character Research Attempts, Collab Weapon Research Attempts and additional event research currency among the rewards.

The collaboration also includes themed cosmetic content and other limited crossover additions. Exact end dates for the full Date A Live V event were not included in the initial global preview recap.

The Anchored in Faith Preview Livestream also released the gift code PUNISHING0924. The code is scheduled to expire on September 29 at 23:59 UTC.

The code provides an immediate preview-period reward before the main version and collaboration rollout, giving active players another preparation step ahead of September 24.
