Latest update
Version 3.5 "Blade of Past Resounds, Lingering Dream Hymns" went live on July 10, 2026. It added Yangyang: Xuanling, Suisui, Rover: Electro, and the Land of Xuanfang, while the PC client gained XeSS 3 frame generation support and mobile Resource Cleanup was optimized. Version 3.6 "Lamplight in Mirage, Sword's Resolve in Heart" is officially scheduled for August 20, 2026 (UTC+8), so Version 3.5 remains the live content version on August 19.
Release date and status
Wuthering Waves first launched on PC, Android, and iOS on May 23, 2024. The PlayStation 5 version followed on January 2, 2025, Steam on April 28, 2025, and Xbox Series X/S on July 10, 2026. Mac is also currently supported through the App Store.

Gameplay and setting
Combat is built around parties of three Resonators, with character swaps linking Intro and Outro Skills into rotations alongside basic attacks, Resonance Skills, Resonance Liberations, dodges, parries, Tune Break mechanics, and Echo abilities. Defeated Tacet Discords can be absorbed as Echoes that provide passive stats and active abilities, tying enemy collection directly to character builds.
Exploration takes place across Solaris-3 as Rover recovers lost memories and confronts the consequences of the Lament. Movement combines wall-running, climbing, gliding, grappling, Flight, and the Expedition Motorbike, allowing the game's large regions to be crossed with extensive traversal options.
