PUBG Mobile is a multiplayer battle royale game built around large survival matches on phones and tablets. Up to 100 players parachute onto a map with little equipment, search buildings and the surrounding terrain for weapons, armor, healing supplies, and vehicles, then fight while a shrinking safe area forces survivors closer together. Players can enter alone, as a duo, or in a squad, and winning means being the last player or team alive. Beyond the main battle royale matches, the game also offers faster arena battles, an extraction mode where loot must be carried safely out of a match, creative user-built maps, ranked progression, and cosmetic collection systems.

Latest update
Version 4.6.0 began rolling out on September 8, 2026. The update introduces the Midnight Hunters themed mode, adds a portable four-player Rubber Dinghy to Classic Mode, includes weapon-balance and map-resource changes, and expands World of Wonder with new seasonal content.
Release date and status
PUBG Mobile launched globally on March 19, 2018 and remains an actively supported live-service game. Platforms and availability
The international version supports Android and iOS / iPadOS. Android players can obtain it through Google Play or the APK download offered through the official PUBG Mobile site, while iPhone and iPad users can download it from the App Store. Separate regional editions are operated in some markets.
Gameplay and setting
Classic battle royale matches begin with players parachuting onto a map, choosing a landing point, scavenging firearms, ammunition, armor, healing supplies, attachments, and vehicles, then moving as the playable zone contracts. Up to 100 players can participate in a Classic match, with Solo, Duo, and Squad formats built around surviving until one player or team remains.
The permanent map and mode selection extends beyond the basic battle royale loop. Maps include Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi, Livik, Karakin, Nusa, and Rondo, while modes and systems include Payload, Arena combat, Metro Royale, Home, and World of Wonder. World of Wonder provides creation tools for custom maps and rules, while Metro Royale uses its own loadout, loot, extraction, and progression systems.
Progression also includes ranked seasons, the Royale Pass, clans, cosmetic collections, weapon customization, and social features. Matches support touch controls, voice chat, training features, first-person and third-person play, weapon attachments, healing items, vehicles, and map-specific movement systems.

The selected media pairs the global launch trailer with images covering parachuting, close-range firefights, map environments, the closing Blue Zone, and World of Wonder's creative spaces.

PUBG Mobile is co-developed by LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS and KRAFTON, Inc. Level Infinite publishes the international service, while official mobile storefronts may identify local operating or seller entities for particular regions.
