COSM-GAME Free Fire
Free Fire is a fast battle royale shooter built for short online matches on mobile devices. You parachute onto an island with up to 49 opponents, search for weapons and supplies, stay ahead of a shrinking safe zone, and fight until one player or squad remains. Character abilities and deployable Gloo Walls, temporary barriers used for cover, add tactical choices, while vehicles, revival systems, and compact maps keep matches moving quickly. Outside the main Battle Royale mode, Clash Squad turns the same shooting and ability systems into round-based four-versus-four contests, and players can develop characters, master weapons, create maps in Craftland, join guilds, and collect cosmetic items between matches.

As of September 10, 2026, Apple's App Store lists Free Fire version 1.130.1 and Free Fire MAX version 2.130.1 as the current releases, both dated August 5, 2026. Garena's global news archive identifies OB54, published June 23, 2026, as the newest production patch.
Its lasting additions include Battle Royale Match Review, clearer loot tier indicators, improved room spectating, and expanded Craftland creator tools. Anniversary quests, Party Lobby activities, Skill Boosts, Weapon Awakening, and related match changes were introduced as event content and are not treated as permanent systems here.
Release date and status
Free Fire is Released and launched globally on December 4, 2017. It continues as a live-service game with regular gameplay updates and competitive seasons.
Free Fire MAX launched globally on September 28, 2021 as a separate application with enhanced graphics and presentation while remaining connected to the Free Fire ecosystem.

Platforms and availability
The standard Free Fire application is available for Android and iOS / iPadOS. Free Fire MAX is also available on both mobile platforms and can be played on Windows PCs through Google Play Games on PC.
Free Fire MAX uses Firelink to share accounts, progress, items, modes, and matchmaking with the standard application. No native Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo version is listed by Garena or the relevant storefronts.
Gameplay and setting
Free Fire's main Battle Royale mode places up to 50 players on an island. Players choose a landing point, collect weapons and supplies, move with a shrinking safe zone, and fight until one player or team remains. Matches are designed for short mobile sessions of about 10 minutes.
Characters have abilities that support different approaches to movement, healing, scouting, defense, and team play. Players can combine those abilities with weapon loadouts, vehicles, revival systems, vending machines, and Gloo Walls, which create temporary cover during fights.
Clash Squad is a round-based four-versus-four mode in which teams purchase equipment and try to eliminate the opposing squad. Craftland supports player-created maps and custom experiences, while ranked modes, guilds, weapon mastery, and cosmetic collection provide longer-term progression.
