Platforms and availability
The game is available on PC (EA app, Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. There is no PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch version. Full cross-play is supported across all three platform families in Dynasty, Road to the College Football Playoff, College Football Ultimate Team, and Play a Friend. Online Dynasties support up to 32 players across platforms. The Auction House in Ultimate Team is not shared across platforms. All PC versions require EA app DRM and EA Javelin anti-cheat.
Gameplay and setting
Gameplay improvements include smarter route running, explosive WR vs. DB battles, streamlined pre-play adjustments, a QB sneak meter, mass substitutions without pausing, and expanded defensive playbooks with 31 playbooks, six Defensive Styles, and 16 new formations. Dynamic Weather evolves each quarter, affecting field conditions. Dynasty mode uses the Dynasty Blueprint with Athletic Director Expectations, Dynasty Points for recruiting, NIL, staff, and facilities, and an upgraded Coaching Carousel. Road to Glory adds tight end, edge rusher, and free safety positions, Legend Templates based on past greats, and new potential and mental ability attributes. Mascot Mashup returns with over 120 unlockable mascots. Team Builder now includes stadium, fan, and chant creation with export to Road to Glory and Dynasty.
