Digimon Story Time Stranger is Media.Vision Inc.'s paid monster-taming turn-based RPG — players collect and raise Digimon while investigating a collapse spanning Tokyo, time and Digital World: Iliad. Bandai Namco Entertainment expanded Digimon Story Time Stranger to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on July 10, 2026. The accompanying free update adds Terriermon Assistant, field Photo Mode, Digifarm Digivolution-condition checks and Quality or Performance graphics modes on supported platforms.

The game is available through PlayStation Store, Xbox, Steam and Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. A free demo is available on each platform family, with opening-chapter save transfer supported only between matching versions.
Gameplay overview
Players collect, raise and Digivolve more than 450 Digimon, build teams and fight strategic turn-based battles. Digifarm training, Agent Skills, personality development, equipment and DigiRide traversal provide additional progression and exploration options.
Story, setting, or main mode
An ADAMAS agent encounters an unknown creature shortly before a city-destroying explosion in Tokyo, then awakens eight years in the past. The investigation crosses time, parallel human worlds and the Digital World: Iliad while the agent works with Inori Misono, Aegiomon and other Digimon to prevent collapse.

The Standard Edition has a regular US list price of $69.99, with Digital Deluxe and Digital Ultimate editions adding the Season Pass, costumes, music and early unlocks. The Season Pass includes three Additional Digimon and Episode packs.
