Loveless the Hacker arrives September 10

Loveless the Hacker joins Borderlands 4 on September 10, 2026 as the second new Vault Hunter added after launch. She is an ex-Anshin hacker turned assassin equipped with high-end cybernetics, and she shares her mind with a digital virus that she created herself. That virus can digistruct into a physical form that fights as an extension of her will.

Loveless and her cosmetics will be available for individual purchase, separate from the Story Pack 2 narrative content, map zone, and missions. She is also part of the Borderlands 4 Vault Hunter Pack and Super Deluxe Edition, with the base game required to use the DLC.

Gearbox will give Loveless a dedicated Gearbox DevCast episode on September 3. The episode will provide a deeper look at her gameplay before the September 10 release.

Story Pack 2 brings FL4K to Providence

Loveless arrives on the same day as Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort. The new narrative content takes players to Providence, a remote tropical island built as a resort for the Timekeeper's chosen and located beside an active volcano.

Tediore has moved onto Providence in pursuit of the island's Ordonite resource. Its expedition is led by five elite managers serving Lieutenant Harmony, while returning Borderlands 3 Vault Hunter FL4K is searching for the missing skag Mr. Chew.

  • Providence adds new missions, collectibles, bosses, and Tediore enemy forces.
  • New ziplines let players move above the jungle and reach elevated positions.
  • Tediore digiverse activities send players into servers to fight enemies before they materialize in the physical world.
  • The Story Pack includes two new Pearlescent weapons and 18 pieces of Legendary gear.

Version 1.10 raises the level cap

Version 1.10 launches on September 10 alongside Story Pack 2 and Loveless. The update raises the maximum level cap by 10 levels for all Borderlands 4 players.

The same date also changes how some earlier DLC is distributed. Individual parts of Story Pack 1 and Bounty Pack 2 will become available for separate purchase, and PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S owners who already own either part will need to visit the separate storefront listings to redownload that content.

Bounty Pack 5 launches on the same day

Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Vile Shadows also launches on September 10. Its repeatable mission follows Amara as she investigates Phase disturbances connected to one of Vile Lictor's old laboratories, taking players back to Elpis and the Phase dimension.

Completing the mission unlocks a Vault Hunter Skin usable by all Vault Hunters, a Vehicle, and an ECHO-4 Drone Skin. The pack also adds a new boss, two mini-bosses, new Vile enemy types, one Pearlescent weapon, and six pieces of Legendary gear.

Vault Card 5 is available separately from the Bounty Pack 5 narrative content. It contains 24 cosmetic items and four pieces of rerollable gear that can be earned through gameplay.
