How to Link Minecraft to Microsoft on PlayStation
Link the Microsoft account you intend to use with Minecraft on PS4 or PS5 to unlock cross-platform multiplayer, Realms and shared Marketplace content. The setup uses a QR code or browser code from the title screen.
Choose the Microsoft account you will keep
Use Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 while signed in to the PlayStation Network account that will use the connection. Have the Microsoft account credentials ready and confirm that the account is not already linked to another PlayStation Network account.
A Microsoft account enables cross-platform multiplayer, Realms, social features and access to eligible Marketplace content bought on other platforms. Online multiplayer on PlayStation also requires PlayStation Plus.
Link from the Minecraft title screen
Minecraft displays a browser sign-in code after you choose the Microsoft account option. Complete that browser session with the Microsoft account you want associated with the current PlayStation Network account.
Cross-play and Realms become available
After the account link completes, Minecraft on PlayStation can use the Microsoft account for cross-platform multiplayer, Realms, social features and eligible Marketplace content purchased on other supported platforms.
New purchases made through the Minecraft Store on PlayStation use Minecraft Tokens. Cross-platform play still depends on compatible Bedrock versions, multiplayer permissions, an internet connection and the required PlayStation subscription.
One account link controls shared access
Only one Microsoft account can be connected to a PlayStation Network account at a time. To change it, open Minecraft and select Settings > Account > Unlink Microsoft account, confirm the warning, and select Unlink before connecting another account.
Unlinking affects Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends on that PlayStation Network account. PlayStation purchases and unspent Tokens remain with the PlayStation account, while Microsoft-account Marketplace purchases from other platforms are unavailable until an appropriate Microsoft account is connected.
Fix account already connected errors
“This account is already connected” means the PlayStation Network account is linked to a different Microsoft account. Select Try Again and sign in with the Microsoft account tied to the gamertag shown, or select Unlink Microsoft account before connecting a different one.
“The Microsoft account you are trying to use is already connected to another account for PlayStation Network” means that Microsoft account belongs to another PSN link. Use an unlinked Microsoft account, unlink the existing connection when Minecraft offers the option, or sign in to the PlayStation Network account already associated with it.
For an expired browser code or a stalled sign-in, open Settings > Account, sign out of the Microsoft account, select Sign in for free!, and enter the new alphanumeric code at aka.ms/remoteconnect.
