Palworld is Pocketpair’s paid open-world survival crafting game — capture Pals, explore Palpagos, and put creatures to work in combat, farms and automated bases. It is fully released on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with crossplay between supported platforms.

Latest update

Version 1.0.1 is live as of July 14, 2026. Pocketpair’s patch notice says it prevents save data from being unintentionally discarded after certain operations and stops the burning status from persisting after contact with a campfire.

The Version 1.0 release contains Sunreach, the World Tree, 72 additional Pals for a total of 287, Awakening and Mutation systems, and broad revisions to bases, multiplayer, balance, graphics, audio and progression.

Release date and status

Pocketpair released Palworld 1.0 on July 10, 2026. The Windows and Xbox versions entered early access on January 19, 2024, PlayStation 5 followed on September 24, 2024, and the Apple-silicon Mac version became available on March 4, 2025.

Platforms and availability

The released version covers Windows PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Steam and Microsoft Store carry the Windows version; Xbox Play Anywhere links the Microsoft PC and Xbox release, and eligible Xbox Game Pass plans include the game.

Pocketpair’s March 19, 2025 update enables crossplay between supported platforms.

Gameplay overview

Players gather resources, capture Pals, build bases, craft equipment, farm, breed creatures, explore dungeons and assign Pals to production or automation. Pals can fight beside the player, serve as land, sea or air mounts, and inherit traits through breeding.

Single-player and online co-op support up to four players, while dedicated servers support up to 32 players.

Story, setting, or main mode

Palpagos is a survival sandbox of islands, settlements, wildlife sanctuaries and hostile factions built around the relationship between people and Pals. Version 1.0 extends the main adventure through Sunreach toward the World Tree, with new Tower Bosses and major story content.

Pocketpair develops and publishes Palworld. The Japanese studio maintains the game’s product page, patch notices, media releases and platform support information.

Download and availability

Palworld is sold through Steam, Microsoft Store and Xbox, PlayStation Store, and Mac App Store. The Microsoft release supports Xbox Play Anywhere and remains included with eligible Xbox Game Pass plans.

System / Device Requirements

Steam’s Windows minimum is Windows 10 64-bit, a Core i5-9400F, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1660 graphics, DirectX 11 and 40 GB on an SSD. The recommended tier uses Windows 11, a Core i5-12400 or Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 GB RAM, and a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 XT.

Apple’s Mac App Store requires macOS 14.0 or later and an Apple M1 chip or newer, and lists a 33.3 GB app size. Console players need a PlayStation 5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S; online console play follows the platform’s account and subscription requirements.
