Palworld
Palworld is a premium open-world survival crafting game developed and published by Pocketpair. Players control a survivor exploring the Palpagos Islands alongside captured creatures called Pals. The main goal is to survive, build and automate bases, strengthen a Pal team, defeat tower bosses, and advance toward the World Tree. Its central gameplay hook is that captured Pals serve as combat partners, mounts, and workers across the same survival and base-building systems.

Palworld v1.0.3 released on August 12, 2026. The update lowers the progression requirements for Jetragon-related technology and the Aquatic Construction Kit, improves crude oil production, makes World Tree Holy Water lighter and easier to obtain, doubles Fiber gained from trees, and fixes progression, multiplayer, Pal behavior, building, item, display, sound, and control issues.
Release date and status
Palworld reached its full 1.0 release on July 10, 2026 after more than two years in Early Access. The PlayStation 5 version launched on September 24, 2024, and the Mac version followed on March 4, 2025.

Platforms and availability
Palworld is currently playable on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. PC players can obtain the game through Steam or the Microsoft and Xbox ecosystem, Mac players through the Mac App Store, PlayStation 5 players through PlayStation Store, and Xbox players through Xbox Store. Gameplay and setting
Palworld combines open-world survival crafting with creature collection, third-person combat, base building, farming, production, and automation. Players weaken and capture Pals with Pal Spheres, use them as combat partners and mounts, breed them for inherited traits, and assign them to work at bases. Online co-op supports up to four players, while dedicated servers can support up to 32 players.
The adventure takes place across the Palpagos Islands, with progression through dungeons, tower bosses, settlements, Sunreach, and the World Tree. Version 1.0 reworked the main story progression and added permanent systems including Awakening and Mutation for strengthening Pals.
