Once Human is a multiplayer open-world survival game set in Nalcott after Stardust contamination transformed people, wildlife, objects, and the environment. As a Meta-Human, players scavenge resources, manage survival needs, craft and customize weapons, build movable territories, and capture Deviants that can fight or work at the base. Its Scenario system supports distinct PvE and PvP experiences, while blueprints, Mods, character progression, cooperative exploration, and base building form the longer-term survival loop.

The live editions run on Windows PC, iPhone, iPad and Android. NetEase Games lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC as the next editions, with full cross-play and cross-progression through linked accounts.

Gameplay and setting

Players explore Nalcott, gather resources, craft weapons and equipment, construct territories, capture Deviants and fight Stardust-altered creatures. Scenario servers change maps, objectives and rules across cooperative PvE, competitive PvP and RaidZone structures, while Version 3.0.1 supports both first-person and third-person play.

The player is a Meta-Human surviving after the Starfall spread Stardust across the world. Nalcott’s settlements, factions, anomalies and aberrations frame an ongoing mystery, while each scenario supplies its own main objectives, server rules and seasonal progression.

Trailer, screenshots, and media

The console release trailer presents territory construction, open-world expeditions, Deviant companions, large aberrations and first-person combat. The screenshots cover the same survival systems across exploration, building, encounters and multiplayer scenarios.

FAQ

Can mobile-only Once Human servers be accessed from PC?
No. Mobile-only servers are specifically restricted from PC access, even if a player originally signed up for the server from the mobile version.
Are paid items shared between different Once Human characters?
Yes. Once Human supports multi-character sharing for premium paid items, so eligible paid items are synchronized across characters on the same account.
Can existing PC or mobile progress be carried into the console version?
Yes. Once the console version launches and the accounts are linked, progress can synchronize across PC, mobile, and console. If both accounts being linked already contain characters, the linking process requires choosing one account to overwrite, and the characters on the overwritten account will be discarded.
Do Once Human and Once Human: RaidZone share all progression?
No. Both modes can use the same account, but balance-affecting data such as blueprints and Mods cannot be used in RaidZone. Cosmetics can be used across both modes, while some other progression and feature access remains mode-specific.
Does the Once Human mobile version support partial data downloads?
Yes. The Mobile Launch FAQ allows players to prioritize which content is downloaded first. Players who intend to download all game content are advised to reserve about 25-30 GB of storage.
Which languages does Once Human support on Steam?
Steam lists 10 interface and subtitle languages: English, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese from Brazil, Spanish from Latin America, and Russian. Full audio is available in English and Simplified Chinese.
