Grand Theft Auto VI

On August 27, 2026, Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, the most extensive official gameplay presentation for the game so far. Captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5, it provides a longer look at driving, robberies, gunfights, police response, interiors, character interactions, activities, and exploration across Leonida. The November 19, 2026 release date remains unchanged.

Grand Theft Auto VI returns the series to a modern version of Vice City while expanding the playable setting across the wider state of Leonida. The story follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, two criminals whose lives become increasingly connected after an easy score goes wrong and leaves them caught inside a conspiracy stretching across the state. Major locations include Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park.

Gameplay continues the series' combination of open-world exploration, driving, firearms, robberies, police pursuits, and character-focused crime missions. The extended gameplay presentation also shows a more reactive law-enforcement response, explorable interiors, vehicles ranging from road traffic to boats and aircraft, stores and businesses, leisure activities, and opportunities to move through both dense urban districts and rural environments. Jason and Lucia's criminal network connects them with figures including Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista, and Brian Heder.
