COSM-GAME Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto V is an open-world action-adventure about three criminals whose lives become connected through a series of increasingly dangerous heists in the fictional city of Los Santos and the surrounding Blaine County. You can switch between Franklin Clinton, Michael De Santa, and Trevor Philips during the story, completing missions that mix driving, shooting, chases, robberies, and character-specific sequences while freely exploring the wider map between jobs. Vehicles, weapons, businesses, side activities, random encounters, and optional challenges fill the world beyond the main campaign. The package also includes GTA Online, where a custom character can build a criminal career, buy property and vehicles, run businesses, complete cooperative jobs and heists, race, compete, or simply explore with other players.

Rockstar's current Title Update 1.73 notes were last updated on August 18, 2026. The July and August revisions delivered stability and security fixes across supported versions and corrected multiple issues in GTA Online's permanent Kortz Center Heist content, including guard alert behavior, camera logic, Mansion trophies, cutscenes, and mission progression.
The same update cycle added the Pegassi Ignus Pursuit law-enforcement vehicle and continued fixes for current GTA Online activities. Rockstar continues to maintain GTA Online as the live multiplayer component included with Grand Theft Auto V.
Release date and status
Grand Theft Auto V first launched worldwide on September 17, 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It later expanded to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014, PC on April 14, 2015, and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 15, 2022. GTAV Enhanced then launched as a free upgrade for existing PC owners on March 4, 2025. The currently supported profile platforms are PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently sold and supported on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Current PC purchases through major digital storefronts include GTAV Enhanced and GTAV Legacy, while the newest visual and performance upgrades are available on GTAV Enhanced for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Gameplay and setting
The single-player campaign follows Franklin Clinton, Michael De Santa, and Trevor Philips, three criminals whose paths converge around a sequence of major robberies. Players can switch between them during free roam and at scripted points in missions, with each character having different abilities, relationships, homes, and side activities. Missions mix driving, shooting, stealth, flying, pursuits, planning, and large heists across Los Santos and Blaine County.
Outside missions, the open world supports exploration, vehicle stealing and customization, weapon purchases, property ownership, sports, races, random encounters, collectibles, and other activities. A wanted-level system brings increasingly powerful law-enforcement responses as criminal activity escalates.
GTA Online uses the same broad setting for a persistent multiplayer criminal career. A custom character earns GTA$ and reputation through jobs, races, businesses, cooperative heists, competitive modes, and free-roam activities, then spends those earnings on properties, vehicles, weapons, businesses, and customization. Current versions support up to 30 online players and include years of Rockstar content updates.

The selected official trailer introduces Los Santos, Franklin, Michael, Trevor, and the game's focus on high-risk criminal jobs. The gallery uses freshly researched high-resolution Rockstar PC images showing the open world and visual presentation of Los Santos and Blaine County.
Developer and publisher
Rockstar North developed Grand Theft Auto V, and Rockstar Games publishes the game. Rockstar Games also operates the current account services, digital distribution, title updates, and GTA Online infrastructure.

Download and availability

System / Device Requirements
Rockstar publishes separate current PC requirements for GTAV Enhanced and GTAV Legacy.
