Platforms and availability

The native game supports Android through Google Play and iPhone and iPad through the App Store. NetEase also advertises official PC emulator access, and partner MuMuPlayer provides the Android game on Windows and compatible Apple silicon Macs. The emulator route uses synchronized mobile progress rather than a separate native PC or Mac edition.

Gameplay and setting

Destiny: Rising is set in an alternate Destiny timeline after the Collapse, before the events of the original Destiny games. Players begin as Wolf, a customizable Lightbearer, and can unlock a growing roster that includes familiar figures such as Ikora Rey, Jolder, and Kabr alongside original characters. Humanity is rebuilding around refuges such as Haven while Lightbearers confront alien threats and explore locations including Jiangshi and the Red Sea Rift.

Combat combines first-person and third-person shooting with character-specific abilities. Each Lightbearer uses a unique Relic containing Super and Signature abilities and can equip compatible Primary and Power Weapons from the shared arsenal. Progression covers characters, weapons, Artifacts, weapon modifications, gear rarity, and systems such as Exotic Resonance.

Activities span campaign missions, Destination exploration, Haven Ops Strikes, Gauntlet Ops, Morgran's Prey, Realms of the IX, Legacy, Shifting Gates PvP, Operation Cordon, The Expanse, Bulwark Ops, Pack activities, and six-player cooperative encounters. Players can form Fireteams, join Packs, explore shared spaces, use Sparrows, fish, and take part in both cooperative PvE and competitive PvP content.
