Gameplay and setting
CONTROL Resonant is a melee-focused action RPG built around Dylan Faden's shapeshifting weapon, the Aberrant, which morphs between forms such as a two-handed hammer and dual blades to counter different threats. Dylan's paranatural abilities and a deep progression system let players shape how his powers develop, and exploration includes Gravity Anomalies, zones where gravity and orientation shift and add new dimensions to combat and puzzles. The game is set across large, distinct zones of a paranaturally warped Manhattan following the events of the first CONTROL. Released from Federal Bureau of Control captivity, Dylan investigates the escalating threat of the Hiss and the Mold while searching for his missing sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden.
