Gameplay overview
The Destined One fights with staff stances, combo techniques, dodges and build-specific equipment while combining spells, spirit skills, transformations and magic vessels. Enemy patterns and boss mechanics reward timing, resource management and changing the active strategy rather than relying on one fixed loadout.
Story, setting, or main mode
The single-player story is rooted in Chinese mythology and Journey to the West. The Destined One crosses six chapters of ruined temples, mountains, deserts and supernatural realms to uncover the obscured truth behind Sun Wukong's legacy and the characters caught within it.
Trailer, screenshots, and media
Game Science's final trailer and PlayStation's official Black Myth: Wukong gallery show the Destined One using staff techniques, spells and transformations against spider, scorpion, wolf and other mythological enemies across snowy mountains, temples and monumental ruins.
