Beast of Reincarnation is an action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic Japan in the year 4026, where a spreading corruption called the Blight has transformed the landscape and its creatures. You play as Emma, an outcast who can absorb that corruption, traveling with Koo, a canine companion who is also affected by it. Emma fights in real time with a katana and parries enemy attacks, while opening Koo's command menu slows the action so you can choose his support skills. Exploration lets you find new weapons, charms, Spirit Stones, and skill upgrades that shape how the pair fights as they hunt the giant creatures spreading the Blight.

The current update is v1.0.11 / v1.009.000, released on September 8, 2026. Patch 5 expands the number of skippable event scenes and cutscenes, adjusts dialogue pauses and cut lengths to improve pacing, lets Emma and Koo's alternate skins and cosmetics appear during cutscenes, and adds the ability to reset skills tied to flower nodes in the skill tree. It also includes combat balance changes and a broad set of bug and technical fixes.

Steam briefly displayed an August 3 date for some users before Valve corrected the store display, but the announced Global launch remained August 4 at 00:00 UTC.

Beast of Reincarnation is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. PC players can buy it on Steam or through the Xbox ecosystem, while the Xbox release supports Xbox Play Anywhere, cloud saves, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Handheld Optimized features. Gameplay and setting
Combat combines Emma's real-time katana attacks with command-based abilities for Koo. Parries generate points that can be spent on Koo's techniques, and opening his command menu slows combat so players can assess the fight before choosing an ability. Exploration provides new katanas, Charms, Spirit Stones, and skill-tree upgrades that support different builds, while Story, Normal, and Hard difficulty modes change the combat challenge. The story takes place in Japan in 4026, where the Blight transforms the land and creates hostile creatures called malefacts. Emma is a Sealer who absorbs their Blight, and she travels with Koo through forests generated by giant malefacts called Nushi as they seek the Beast of Reincarnation.
