Link the correct Nintendo Account first

Pokémon Support requires the Pokémon HOME mobile tutorial to be complete before a transfer. Link the mobile version of Pokémon HOME to the Nintendo Account that owns the HOME boxes you intend to use.

Pokémon Support does not require Nintendo Switch Online or a paid Pokémon HOME Premium Plan. Before sending anything, compare the Pokémon HOME Player Name and Support ID shown in Pokémon GO with the account displayed by Pokémon HOME.

Pokémon sent from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME cannot return to Pokémon GO. Remove favorite, Buddy, Gym defender, costumed, Shadow, Mega-Evolved and other ineligible states before selecting a Pokémon.

Send and receive Pokémon in eight steps

The primary route below receives the transfer in the Pokémon HOME mobile app. On Nintendo Switch, open Pokémon HOME, select Pokémon GO from the main menu, then choose Receive instead.

1
Complete the Pokémon HOME mobile tutorial
Open the Pokémon HOME mobile app, finish its tutorial, and link it to the Nintendo Account that owns the destination Pokémon Boxes.
2
Open Pokémon HOME settings in Pokémon GO
In Pokémon GO, tap the Poké Ball > Settings > Connected Devices and Services > Pokémon HOME.
3
Sign in to the Nintendo Account
Select Sign In and use the Nintendo Account linked to the intended Pokémon HOME account.
4
Verify the HOME account details
Confirm that the displayed Player Name and Support ID match the Pokémon HOME account that should receive the transfer.
5
Open the GO Transporter
Select Send Pokémon, review the available GO Transporter Energy and recharge time, then select Continue.
6
Choose the Pokémon to send
Select eligible Pokémon, choose Next, and review the transfer list and required GO Transporter Energy.
7
Confirm the one-way transfer
Select Transport only after confirming every Pokémon and any form or status changes shown on the confirmation screen.
8
Receive the batch in Pokémon HOME
Open Pokémon HOME, select Yes when asked to receive the transfer, choose View transferred Pokémon, then select Receive Pokémon.

Transferred Pokémon enter your HOME boxes

Pokémon Support places newly received Pokémon into empty spaces in the first available Pokémon HOME Box. Sort by Newest 30 or filter Most recent game by the Pokémon GO icon when the transferred Pokémon are difficult to locate.

Niantic states that sending a Pokémon also grants a Mystery Box in Pokémon GO when the account does not already have one.

Transfers use energy and stay one-way

The GO Transporter uses energy based on the selected Pokémon. Energy recharges over time, and Pokémon GO also offers an immediate recharge with PokéCoins.

Pokémon Support limits one transfer batch to 25 Pokémon and receives the entire batch together. A new transfer cannot begin while Pokémon from the previous transfer remain unreceived in Pokémon HOME.

Some Pokémon cannot be sent, and some forms or statuses change during transfer. Review the confirmation screen before selecting Transport because Pokémon cannot be returned to Pokémon GO.

Fix missing prompts and full boxes

No receive prompt appears: restart Pokémon HOME, or open Options > Pokémon GO Link > Receive.

Receive Pokémon fails: clear empty spaces in the Pokémon HOME Boxes, then use Options > Pokémon GO Link > Receive again.

The transfer is missing: compare the Support ID in Pokémon GO with the Support ID on the Pokémon HOME launch screen. A mismatch means a different HOME account was linked.

The selected Pokémon remain in Pokémon GO: Pokémon Support says the transfer sequence may have stopped before completion. Start the send process again after confirming the linked account.
