Where Winds Meet is Everstone Studio’s free-to-play open-world wuxia action RPG — explore a living Jianghu shaped by martial arts, factions and player choices. Version 2.0 is live on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Android, iPhone and iPad with cross-play and cross-progression.
Latest update
Version 2.0, “Unseen Approach,” went live July 23, 2026. NetEase Games’ developer letter confirms that Hidden Mountain contains four major areas, 14 subregions, more than 10 bosses, eight Jianghu Legacies and over 2,000 metres of vertical exploration.
The update also adds the Mohist Hill sect, Gauntlets with the Bamboocut Kite martial art, Divinecraft, Celestial Seize and mechanical travel systems. NetEase Games released a follow-up fix and optimization notice on July 24.
Release date and status
Where Winds Meet released globally on PC and PlayStation 5 on November 14, 2025. Android, iPhone and iPad followed on December 12, 2025, while Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming launched on June 8, 2026.

The released version covers Windows PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Android, iPhone and iPad. PC players can use NetEase Games’ launcher or Steam, and the Xbox release supports Xbox Play Anywhere and cloud play.
NetEase Games supports cross-play and cross-progression between linked accounts on supported platforms.
Gameplay overview
Players explore an open Jianghu, learn weapon techniques and Mystic Arts, investigate landmarks, complete story and side quests, build relationships with NPCs and choose how the wanderer responds to factions and local conflicts.
The game supports solo progression, cooperative exploration, multiplayer activities, PvP and guild systems. Combat combines swords, spears, dual blades, fans, umbrellas, Gauntlets and supernatural techniques with parries, dodges and status effects.
Story, setting, or main mode
The story follows a young sword master searching for the truth about their identity during China’s Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. The journey crosses Qinghe, Kaifeng, Hexi and Hidden Mountain, where Version 2.0 continues the mystery surrounding Aunt Han and Mohist technology.

Steam publishes separate current Windows minimum and recommended tiers, with broadband internet and DirectX 12 required. NetEase Games’ mobile hardware guidance identifies concrete Android chipset and iPhone tiers, while the App Store independently confirms the iOS and iPadOS 15 floor.
Console editions require their named platform hardware. Online multiplayer follows each console network’s account and subscription rules.
