Gameplay and setting
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is a streamlined digital adaptation of the Pokémon TCG built for short mobile play sessions. Players receive two free booster packs daily and can open them with a tactile swipe animation to reveal cards. The core loop involves collecting cards, completing the Card Dex, and building 20-card decks for battle.
Battles use simplified TCG rules with an active Pokémon, a bench of up to three Pokémon, and a prize card system where the first player to claim three prize cards wins. Modes include Solo Battles against CPU opponents, Versus against real players, Ranked Matches with seasonal regulations, Casual Matches, and Private Matches against friends.
Beyond battling, players can arrange cards in Display Boards and Binders to showcase their collection, use Wonder Pick to pull a random card from another player's opened pack, and trade eligible cards with friends. Immersive cards feature 3D diorama artwork that creates a striking sense of depth and are among the most sought-after collectibles.
