Gameplay overview

Ranked, Casual and Private Battles support Single and Double formats. Players earn Victory Points to recruit Pokémon, train stats, alter moves and Abilities, and customize Trainers, while compatible partners can visit through Pokémon HOME.

Pokémon Champions has no story campaign; competitive Pokémon battles are its main mode. Play! Pokémon uses the game as the standard VGC platform for official competitive matches, with seasonal regulations determining eligible Pokémon, items and Mega Evolutions.
