Xbox Game Studios has opened pre-orders ahead of the July 28 launch, with Premium and Collector’s Edition early access beginning July 23. The pre-order offer is the Foundry Armory Pack, while the Premium Edition includes the Alpha Halo Armory Pack, digital artbook, Halo: Hungry Buzzards short story, digital game manual, and up to five days of early access.

Gameplay overview

Halo Studios rebuilt the original Halo campaign with updated visuals, cinematics, controls, nine additional weapons, enemy-vehicle hijacking, a drivable Wraith, and optional Skull modifiers. The full campaign supports solo play, two-player split-screen on consoles, and up to four-player online co-op.

Story, setting, or main mode

The main campaign retells Master Chief and Cortana’s arrival on the Halo ring. Operation: METEORITE adds a new three-mission story set one year earlier, sending Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson aboard a Covenant research vessel.
