Etheria: Restart

As of September 10, 2026, Apple's App Store lists Version 2.0.2 as the current Etheria: Restart client. The active major content cycle is SS6: Pyrite Nyx, the anniversary season that launched worldwide on September 2.

The SS6.1 update added Jolt, an Odd-affinity Kinetic SSR Animus designed for sustained damage. After taking lethal damage, Jolt can continue fighting in her J.O.L.T state, allowing her to maintain offensive pressure after an otherwise fatal hit.

Shadow Hunter: Diting was also added to Animetry: Awaken. The anniversary update expanded the main story with Chapters 11 and 12 and added a Special Episode centered on Fiamelia.

Desynced Recursion is the season's new idle PvE mode. It unlocks at Hyperlinker Level 15 and sends pixel versions of Animus through endless stages automatically, with seasonal progression and ranking rewards.

Summit Arena SS6 runs from September 2 through November 1. At Mythic Rank and above, players now Pre-Ban two Animuses rather than one. Ban Protection remains unchanged, while Practice Match can optionally use the same two Pre-Ban format.

Union Championship SS6 began on September 6 and runs through October 4. XD has confirmed that Union Championship will return each season, making it part of the recurring competitive structure.

The anniversary cycle also includes Chrysus Night-Incursion, The Heuristic Pit, Pyrite Plunder, anniversary rewards, updated Hyperlink Pass progression, Double Drops, Animus Reconfigure, and other seasonal activities. An Apex Targeted Summon is scheduled from September 10 through September 17, allowing players to select one SSR Apex Animus as the guaranteed target when an SSR is summoned.

Etheria: Restart takes place after a catastrophic global freeze threatens human civilization. Humanity transfers its consciousness into Etheria, a virtual world intended to preserve civilization and provide a new home for human consciousness.

Humans coexist there with digital beings called Animus, who possess mysterious Anima Powers. That coexistence is threatened by the Genesis Virus, which corrupts Animus and drives them berserk. Players become Hyperlinkers working with the Hyperlinker Union to investigate the infection and protect Etheria.

Combat is built around turn-based strategy with direct player commands. Team construction depends on Animus roles, affinities, skill interactions, turn order, buffs, debuffs, control effects, damage types, survivability, and other tactical interactions.

Animus are acquired through Summon systems and developed through levels, Star progression, Prowess, Lattices, Shadowprints, Shells, Ether Modules, Module Matrix combinations, and other character-specific growth systems.

PvE activities include the main story, Threshold, Grim Pursuit, seasonal challenges, event encounters, and newer systems such as Desynced Recursion. Grim Pursuit and other boss-focused activities encourage specialized team compositions rather than relying on one universal squad.

Summit Arena provides real-time competitive PvP with drafting and Ban systems. Higher competitive tiers use Pre-Bans and Ban Protection, while seasonal balance updates can change Animus and Shell performance.

Other competitive and social systems include Union Championship, Ruin Hegemony, Guides Plaza, Guide Exchange, and additional multiplayer activities. Guides Plaza allows players to share and inspect community character builds and development recommendations.

Seasonal progression is supported by systems such as Hyperlink Pass, Prowess Up events, limited Summons, anniversary campaigns, new servers, catch-up systems, and rotating progression activities.
