Etheria: Restart

The current content season is SS5: Summer Surprise, which began June 11, 2026, and runs through August 10, 2026. The season adds five new playable Animus, including Nathenn and Sylvia at launch with Areal, Piayera, and Danvery following later in the season, alongside a new Main Quest Hard Mode, a new Grim Pursuit boss named Vespera, and a Guides Plaza where players can share and browse community Animus builds.

Etheria: Restart launched globally on June 5, 2025, for PC and mobile, with the PC version initially distributed through the official standalone client. A dedicated Steam store listing followed later in 2025, giving PC players a second way to install and update the game alongside the standalone client.

Etheria: Restart runs on PC, iOS, and Android, with no console release announced. PC players can install it through Steam or through XD Entertainment's own standalone client from the official site, while mobile players use the App Store or Google Play. A single account carries progress across all supported platforms.

Battles combine turn-based combat with real-time player commands, letting Hyperlinkers freely control each Animus in a fight rather than only queuing up actions in turn order. Players build teams by collecting Animus through gacha summons, then customize each one's growth through its individual Prowess system, Shell equipment, and Ether Module combinations. Outside of story missions in modes like the Threshold and Grim Pursuit, players can test their teams against others in the real-time Summit Arena. The story is set in Etheria, a virtual world humanity built to escape a global freeze, where the corrupting Genesis Virus has turned peaceful Animus into a threat that the Hyperlinker Union was formed to fight.

XD Entertainment both develops and publishes Etheria: Restart across all of its supported platforms, and continues to operate it as a live service with regular seasonal content updates.
