Release date and status

Call of Duty: Mobile is Released. The game launched globally on October 1, 2019 as a standalone mobile entry built from characters, weapons, maps, and gameplay concepts drawn from multiple Call of Duty subseries rather than being a direct mobile port of one console or PC title.

Since launch, Call of Duty: Mobile has expanded through seasonal updates, new Multiplayer maps and modes, Battle Royale content, Zombies, competitive systems, crossovers, weapons, Operators, and DMZ: Recon. The game remains an actively supported live service on Android and iOS / iPadOS.

Platforms and availability

Call of Duty: Mobile officially supports Android and iOS / iPadOS. Activision distributes the Global edition through Google Play and Apple's App Store.

Separate regional editions are also maintained. Garena distributes Call of Duty: Mobile - Garena in supported Asian markets, VNGGames operates Call of Duty: Mobile VN in Vietnam, Tencent Games operates 使命召唤手游 in mainland China, and Level Infinite distributes the South Korean edition.

There is no native Windows, Mac, PlayStation, or Xbox version of Call of Duty: Mobile. Activision's support documentation also states that its version of the game does not officially support emulator use.

Gameplay and setting

Call of Duty: Mobile combines several styles of online first-person combat. Traditional Multiplayer includes modes such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search & Destroy, Hardpoint, Frontline, and Kill Confirmed across classic and original maps drawn from Call of Duty: Black Ops, Modern Warfare, and other parts of the franchise.

Players customize weapons through Gunsmith, selecting attachments that alter weapon behavior before combining their loadouts with perks, tactical and lethal equipment, Scorestreaks, and Operator Skills. Long-term progression includes weapon levels, player ranks, Ranked Multiplayer, League Play, Battle Pass tiers, Challenge Pass missions, Clan Wars, Tournament Mode, events, Secret Caches, and seasonal reward systems.

Battle Royale provides large-scale survival combat across maps and environments including Isolated, Alcatraz, Blackout, Krai, and Rebirth Island. Players deploy alone or in squads, collect weapons and equipment, use Battle Royale classes, travel with vehicles, and fight to survive as the playable area contracts.

DMZ: Recon is the game's PvPvE extraction mode. Operators deploy alone or in squads of up to three across locations including Serpent Island, Building 21, and Rebirth Island, complete contracts and missions, fight hostile AI and rival players, collect valuable equipment, and attempt to extract before losing what they carried into the match.

Zombies provides a separate PvE branch, while rotating and limited-time Multiplayer and Battle Royale modes regularly modify normal rules with alternative objectives, progression mechanics, equipment, and team structures.

Developer and publisher

Download and availability

Global Android players can install Call of Duty: Mobile through Google Play, while iPhone and iPad players can use Apple's App Store. Garena, VNGGames, Tencent Games, and Level Infinite maintain separate regional distribution routes for their supported markets.

The current Global App Store package is approximately 3.1 GB. This is not the final installed footprint because additional resources including HD assets, maps, weapons, and Operators can be downloaded separately, increasing total storage use depending on the content selected by the player.
