How to redeem
Open Link Play, choose Mystery Gift, then select Get with Code/Password for PREPAR1NG or Get via Internet for the current no-code distributions. Official Pokémon pages note that Mystery Gift becomes available after enough early progress, roughly one hour of play, and requires an internet connection and Nintendo Account.
