COSM-GAME Clash Royale Adds Minion Giant and Hero Ice Wizard
Clash Royale begins its Minion Academy season on September 7, 2026 with the new Minion Giant card, Hero Ice Wizard and a month of new events and modes. Supercell's season also introduces Academy Antics, a Competitive 2v2 League, the Princess Gambit Global Tournament, Royale Shuffle and the Clashroom community event. Academy Antics and Royale Shuffle extend the season's playable schedule through October 5.

Minion Academy Season Overview
Minion Academy brings two new playable additions to Clash Royale alongside several limited-time activities. Minion Giant joins the card pool as a new Rare win condition, while Ice Wizard receives a Hero form with the Frosty Fella ability.

Minion Giant Becomes a New Win Condition
Minion Giant is a Rare Troop Card costing 4 Elixir. Unlike a normal ground-based Giant, this unit flies over enemy troops and concentrates its attacks on buildings and Crown Towers.

Academy Antics provides the initial free unlock route. Supercell also states that Minion Giant cards will not appear in chests until the following season, making the Album Event the central launch path during Minion Academy.
Hero Ice Wizard Uses Frosty Fella
Hero Ice Wizard keeps the slowing effect associated with the regular Ice Wizard while adding an active Hero ability. Frosty Fella costs 2 Elixir and interacts directly with enemies that have already been slowed.
Activating the ability creates a snowman behind the nearest slowed troop and freezes troops within the affected area. Frozen enemies remain immobilized until they thaw or their allies destroy the snowman.

Academy Antics Rewards Minion Giant Cards
Academy Antics runs from September 7 through October 5 and becomes available from Arena 3. Players collect Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary Snippets to fill scenes in an album covering Minion Giant's time at the academy.
Up to three Snippets can be earned per day from battle rewards, with more available through events and the Shop. Duplicate Snippets can also be recycled: four Duplicates can be exchanged for a Unique Snippet that guarantees a new entry for the album.
Completing the entire album awards a total of 1,750 Minion Giant cards across its reward track, plus an emote and Tower Skin. During the final week, daily reward Snippets become Unique Snippets. Additional Snippets collected after the album is completed convert into bonus rewards.
Royale Shuffle Randomizes Mode and Deck
Royale Shuffle runs from September 21 through October 5. Entering the mode gives the player both a random classic game mode and a random deck, requiring adaptation instead of allowing one prepared deck to cover every battle.
The rotation includes Triple Elixir, Super Troop Showdown, Sudden Death, Rage Battle, Heist, Snowball Bombardment, Mega Monk, Blackout, 4-Card Clash, Capture the Mortar, Dragon Hunt and Everything Evolved.
A Royale Shuffle Challenge follows from September 28 through October 5, with a Battle Banner among its rewards.
2v2, Princess Gambit and Clashroom Fill Out September
The Competitive 2v2 League occupies the first half of the season from September 7 through September 21, including league-road competition and a top-10,000 leaderboard.
Princess Gambit then runs from September 21 through September 26 as a Global Tournament built around Sudden Death. Battles use two Princess Towers and a rotating 40-card pool, while Evolutions and Heroes remain active and cards are capped at Level 11.
The Clashroom Community Event runs September 22–26. Supercell describes it around biology, physics and history lessons presented by three teachers, with additional event details scheduled to be revealed closer to its start.
