How to Link Marvel Rivals Accounts for Cross-Progression
Marvel Rivals cross-progression lets multiple platform accounts open the same primary character, so progress, collections, and paid content can follow that character across linked logins. The supported account set includes Epic, Steam, Loading Bay, PlayStation, and Xbox. The important limitation is that separate characters are not merged: if multiple linked accounts already have characters, one becomes primary while the others remain stored.
Before you start
Marvel Rivals cross-progression works by linking platform accounts so the same primary character can be used from multiple login platforms. Supported account platforms include Epic, Steam, Loading Bay, PlayStation, and Xbox.
If several linked accounts already contain characters, those characters are not merged. You choose one primary character, while the others remain stored and can become primary later after the relevant cooldown.
Step-by-step instructions
The binding flow is handled inside Marvel Rivals through Settings. Account verification is completed for each additional platform before it joins the linked group.
PlayStation has an extra restriction: after binding a PSN account, another PSN account cannot be substituted, though the original PSN account can be re-linked when needed.
What to expect
After linking, logging in through any linked platform account opens the selected primary character with its shared progress, collections, and paid content, subject to platform-specific restrictions.
Platform-exclusive costumes stay on their designated platform. If one is equipped and the player logs in elsewhere, the character displays the default costume instead.
Important limits and conditions
Competitive rank, battle data, and leaderboard position remain separate for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox because matchmaking is device-based. One shared character does not create one universal rank.
Unbinding creates a 180-day platform cooldown before that platform can be bound again. Selecting a primary character puts other characters into a 30-minute character cooldown before they can become primary.
Troubleshooting
For PlayStation linking, NetEase warns that the PlayStation website account should either be the intended linked account or be logged out; otherwise the currently signed-in PlayStation account can be selected automatically.
If Discord, Twitch Drops, or another third-party binding points to the wrong character after linking, re-bind it manually. Cross-progression does not automatically update those external web functions.
