Ragnarok: The New World is an open-world MMORPG that rebuilds Midgard as a large seamless world where adventurers can climb, swim, fly, fight monsters, and explore with other players. One character can switch between multiple jobs without restarting progression, letting players change roles, reset skills and stats, and experiment with different builds. Long-term progression includes equipment refinement, pets, MVP bosses and mounts, trading, offline resource accumulation, costume customization, guild and party activities, and social systems such as marriage. Progress also carries between supported PC, phone, and tablet versions of the same regional service.

Latest update
Version 2.0.5 remains the current Southeast Asia App Store version as of September 8, 2026. Released on August 10, it adjusts the Secondary Password rules and follows Version 2.0.4, which permanently added the new Druid class and the World Catch pet system. The newest platform milestone followed on August 17, when Gravity announced that the previously delayed Steam version was officially available.
Release date and status
Ragnarok: The New World first launched in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on January 15, 2026. Southeast Asia except Vietnam followed on July 16 at 10:00 UTC+7 for the official PC client and mobile versions. Steam was delayed during the July launch period and Gravity officially announced Steam availability on August 17, although the Steam storefront currently displays July 26 as its store release date. The wider Global rollout remains Upcoming. Gravity's last exact schedule targeted Q4 2026, while its August business update states that preparation for the wider Global launch is continuing.

Platforms and availability
Live regional versions currently support Windows PC, Android, iOS / iPadOS, and compatible Apple-silicon Macs. Windows players in the Southeast Asia service can use Gravity's standalone PC client or Steam, while Android uses Google Play and iPhone and iPad use the App Store. Apple also lists the mobile application as compatible with Macs running macOS 11.0 or later on an Apple M1 chip or newer. Progress is synchronized across supported phone, tablet, and PC clients within the same service.
Gameplay and setting
Ragnarok: The New World combines open-world exploration with MMORPG combat across Midgard, with monster battles, MVP bosses, parties, guild play, and eight launch classes including Druid. Druid can switch among Werewolf, Wereraptor, and Human Arcanist forms, while the broader class system lets one character change jobs and reset skills without restarting.
Progression includes equipment refinement up to +15 without gear breaking or level loss on failed refinement, offline resource accumulation, pet collection through systems such as World Catch, player trading through Auction and street vending, and extensive costume tailoring and dyeing. Social systems include marriage, duo teleport, shared activities, and group content.

The selected official gameplay trailer presents the game's open-world traversal, classes, combat, mounts, social spaces, and exploration across Midgard. The expanded seven-image gallery shows party battles, swimming and aerial traversal, boss encounters, MVP mounts, social environments, coastal exploration, and the wider fantasy world.

Download and availability
Southeast Asia players can download the Windows client from the official website or Steam, Android from Google Play, and iPhone or iPad from the App Store. Compatible Apple M1 or later Macs can install the App Store application where available. Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau use their separate official service and storefront packages. The wider Global release is still being prepared, so regions outside the currently supported services should follow Gravity's future launch announcements rather than assuming the Southeast Asia client represents the final worldwide rollout.
