Ragnarok: The New World
Ragnarok: The New World is Gravity Game Vision's open-world MMORPG built on the Ragnarok Online IP, and its Southeast Asia PC and mobile service opens on July 16, 2026, following an earlier launch in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on January 15, 2026. The game rebuilds Midgard as one seamless open world instead of the series' traditional set of portal-linked maps, and the Southeast Asia release launches with eight classes, including the new shapeshifting Druid. Progress syncs across PC, phone, and tablet, and the studio pairs the classic RO identity — jobs, MVP bosses, player stalls, guilds — with newer convenience systems like safe gear refining and offline auto-hunting. A wider global release is targeted for Q4 2026, a window Gravity says currently excludes Southeast Asia and several other already-served regions.

Gravity Game Vision's official Southeast Asia site confirms the game is “launching on all platforms July 16,” opening PC access via Steam alongside the iOS and Android clients for Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and other supported Southeast Asian territories (Vietnam excluded).
The current Thailand App Store build (version 2.0.4) already lists the Druid class with its Werewolf, Wereraptor, and Human Arcanist forms, a non-combat “World Catch” SSR pet system, and a live BABYMONSTER crossover event, and the app currently ranks No. 1 in the Adventure chart on that storefront.

Platforms and availability
The Southeast Asia release covers PC through Steam and mobile through the App Store and Google Play, with the Steam listing showing Cross-Platform Multiplayer and In-App Purchases among its supported features.
Gravity's own marketing describes syncing progress between phone, tablet, and PC, so a character started on mobile can continue on the Steam client under the same account without a separate rebuild.
Gameplay overview
Eight classes are available at the Southeast Asia launch: the seven classic Ragnarok professions (including Swordsman, Mage, Thief/Assassin, Archer, Acolyte/Priest, Merchant/Blacksmith, and Gunslinger) plus the new Druid, which can shift between Werewolf, Wereraptor, and Human Arcanist forms as one class with three playstyles.
A single character can freely switch between all available classes, with free skill and stat resets each time, so players are not locked into one build or forced to reroll to try a different role.
Equipment enhancement uses a “Safe Refine” system up to +15 that Gravity says will not break or downgrade gear on a failed attempt, and an offline auto-hunting system keeps a character earning experience and resources while the app or client is closed.
Story, setting, or main mode
The game returns players to Rune-Midgard as an open, continuous 3D world rather than the series' traditional set of separate zoned maps connected by portals, with flying mounts letting players cross the continent by air.
Beyond combat, Gravity highlights social systems carried over and expanded from classic Ragnarok Online: player-run vending stalls and auctions, guild-based dungeon and boss content with tank/DPS/healer roles, a gender-unrestricted marriage system with shared teleports and daily couple rewards, and MVP bosses that can be tamed as mounts after being defeated.

Gravity's official Ragnarok: The New World YouTube channel published the game's first global full gameplay trailer, showing open-world traversal, class combat, and the game's stylized 3D take on classic Ragnarok locations like Prontera.
Official screenshots from Google Play and Steam show the open-world map, MVP encounters, character customization and dye options, and the personal-stall trading system.

Download and availability
PC players can wishlist and download the game through Steam. Mobile players in supported Southeast Asian territories can pre-register or download through Google Play and the Apple App Store using the regional storefront listings.
The game is free to play with an in-game cash shop; the Thailand App Store lists a range of launch and daily purchase packs alongside monthly Kafra subscription passes.
System / Device Requirements
Steam's published PC requirements list only RAM and storage at this time: 12 GB RAM and 30 GB of available space at minimum, rising to 16 GB RAM recommended. Gravity has not yet published specific OS, CPU, or GPU targets for the Steam listing.
The iOS listing on the Thailand App Store shows an installed size of 4.1 GB and requires iOS 13.0 or later.
