Gameplay overview

Battles use a semi-real-time strategic card system in which Riders attack from motorbikes, exploit attribute damage and break Hysteria targets. Grand Assault and other combat activities expand team-building beyond the story.

Outside combat, players collect Riders and motorbikes, customize bikes and develop relationships through dates, confessions, whispered conversations and relaxation scenes.

Story, setting, or main mode

The player is a Navigator with Kaleido Vision in the near-future metropolis Terminus. Fusion Phenomena connect the city to the Sea of Consciousness, creating Hysteria from negative emotions and sending Kaleido Riders into battles that uncover the incidents' source.

The KALEIDO Test includes the Past, Academy and Band chapters, beginning around Terminus University's graduation and continuing toward renewed hope in Meteor Street.
