AFK Journey is a free-to-play fantasy RPG developed by Lilith Games and globally published by Farlight Games. Players take the role of the legendary mage Merlin and travel across Esperia while recruiting heroes from different factions and uncovering the mystery behind Merlin's lost memories. Latest update

Version 1.7.4 went live on September 3, 2026. The update adds the Graveborn heroes Eryndor and Karma, the Last Thread II epilogue quest, and Level 2 Enhance Force upgrades for Viperian and Alsa. It also adds Evie and Nerion Soul Sigils to the Season Store and updates Guild Duel and Homestead content.

AFK Journey is Released. The global version launched on March 27, 2024, while the Japanese service launched on August 8, 2024. Steam released its PC edition on April 27, 2026, adding another official PC distribution route without changing the original global release date.

AFK Journey is playable on PC, Android, iPhone, iPad, and compatible Apple silicon Macs. PC players can use the official Windows client, Steam, or Google Play Games on PC, while Android players can use Google Play and Apple mobile players can use the App Store. Gameplay and setting

AFK Journey uses automated real-time battles built around formation choices and tactical preparation. Players arrange heroes, account for faction advantages, terrain, traps, and enemy positions, then can activate ultimate abilities while combat resolves automatically. Its activities span story and exploration battles, PvP, guild-oriented combat, boss encounters, puzzles, roguelike content, and other recurring challenges.

Progression is designed to make a growing hero roster easier to manage. Shared hero levels and equipment reduce repeated investment when formations change, while systems including AFK Progress, the Resonation Hall, Hero Wish List, Stargaze Station, Enhance Force, and Soul Sigils provide additional long-term development paths.

The story follows Merlin, a legendary mage who has lost his memories, across the fantasy continent of Esperia. Exploration takes place in a storybook-style 3D world filled with settlements, varied terrain, treasure, environmental interactions, and connections to the wider AFK series.
