AFK Journey is Lilith Games' free-to-play fantasy strategy card RPG, published globally by Farlight Games for PC, iPhone, iPad and Android. Version 1.7.2.1 is live in the Crown of Ashes season with Lamentis, new quests and the current Orion event promotion.
Latest update
Version 1.7.2.1 is the current mobile build, released on July 9, 2026. Farlight Games added Hypogean hero Lamentis, the Twilight Accord and Real-Life Drama side quests, Gunnar's Firepower Fanatic story, two Enhance Force upgrades and new Soul Sigils.
Apple and Google currently promote Orion as the active Crown of Ashes event hero. The season remains available on eligible servers after its tutorial and progression requirements are met.
Release date and status
Farlight Games launched AFK Journey globally for iOS, Android and its direct PC client on March 27, 2024. The separate Steam edition released on April 27, 2026, and all editions remain active.

Platforms and availability
AFK Journey runs on Windows PC, iPhone, iPad and Android. PC players can use Farlight Games' client, Steam or Google Play Games on PC, while cross-platform play lets the same account move between supported mobile and PC routes.
Gameplay overview
Players recruit heroes, arrange formations around terrain, combine faction bonuses and time ultimates in strategic real-time battles. Shared levels and equipment reduce repeated upgrading, while AFK rewards generate resources between story, seasonal, guild and competitive activities.
Story, setting, or main mode
The player takes the role of Magister Merlin in Esperia, guiding heroes from seven factions through a storybook fantasy world. Seasonal chapters introduce new regions and mysteries, with Crown of Ashes centered on the royal capital and the King's Sword storyline.

Download and availability
The base game is free through Farlight Games' Windows client, Steam, Apple's App Store and Google Play, with optional in-app purchases. Google Play Games on PC provides another Windows route for the Android edition.
